The new Hamilton Pan Europ was released a few months ago but on display for the first time this past week at Basel. I'm a big fan of its clean retro styling that still works today. It is available with a blue dial with blue bezel or a grey dial with black bezel. Both come on either a leather or color-matched NATO strap. As you can see it has both a day & date display with quick-change function. It also boasts an 80 hour power reserve from the Hamilton H30 movement. Pretty impressive considering this watch comes in at either $1,095 or $1,145 depending on your strap choice. The Pan Europ is a stylish and affordable watch. Certainly worth checking out if you're looking for a new sport watch.
Wow. That's all you can really say the first time you see the Glashutte PanoMaticInverse. I have long been a fan of Glashutte and their PanoMatic line of watches. They are very elegantly decorated and have quite sophisticated styling. This model is certainly the belle of the ball. This isn't a skeletonized piece. They made a dial out of the mainplate and relocated the equisite hand-carved dual-swan's neck balance to the dial-side of the movement. What they've accomplished is a timepiece that is stunning as well as unique. We've all seen plenty of skeleton watches over the years, but this takes a more refined approach to that idea. The trademark large "panorama" date and off-center dial are present here which I think adds further to how cool this watch is. It is on the upper end of our target segment here at approx $15,000 for the model in steel. But I think this is certainly a watch worth saving up for.
This is the Piaget Antiplano 900P, the thinnest mechanical watch in the world. Well, for now at least. You see this is a record that Piaget has broken over and over again. And this time, in order to accomplish this, they didn't make a new movement, they just built it into the case! The watch is forged from a single piece of white or rose gold and the movement is built inside it. This is a marvel of a watch. Piaget has certainly released some of the most impressive designs over the last few years and this one is no exception. It is outside our price limits but I had to show it to you.
